That is a very nice truck. They have to turn up the wick to compete with Ford.

It's the only light duty truck in America to offer a small displacement diesel option. I think it's a smart move. Definitely will help them against Ford for sure.

Im curious to see how the numbers will compare to what the eco-boost puts down.

The Eco Boost will probably have more horsepower but I'd imagine the Diesel would have a lot of torque. Who knows maybe it'll be pretty close I'm very interested to see what it pans out to be as well.

Right but I imagine it was probably pretty old right? I don't think any modern light duty 1500's have had a diesel available for quite some time. It definitely currently will be the only light duty truck with a diesel option at least.

Yeah, mids 90's I think. Wonder why they didn't continue doing it then?

Back then there really wasn't a market for them. Fuel wasn't an issue and people preferred getting either a heavy duty diesel or a normal light duty gas truck I guess. Times are a changin'.

This is when I'm happy my girlfriend is the finance manager for a dealer that sells Dodge's. I'll definitely check that out, as I'm already tired of my '12.

If you already tired of you 2012 you better look into getting something different all together!

I'm glad to hear that a light duty is coming out with a diesel. I would love to get a diesel bit have no use for a 2500 and above. I think the 1500 is getting a v6 vitto motori engine, although I don't know why they didn't go with a small Cummins.
