I'll start:
Donald Frey was the Chief Engineer for Ford’s car programs during the time the 1964-1/2 Mustang was created. He is credited with conceiving the first prototype, the 1962 Mustang I concept, which was a mid-engine two-seater roadster. As part of Lee Iacocca’s Fairlane Committee, Frey headed up all engineering aspects of the first Ford Mustang as Product Manager. He was eventually promoted to Vice President of North American Product Development, and oversaw the development of all Mustangs until his departure from the company in 1968.

My sister had and easy bake oven. After I baked a Barbie doll head my dad took the oven away. It was fun while it lasted

Sal, take a look at these mustang concept cars that never made it to production. A few of these would be really cool to have and even better if they had made it to production. link

I like the 67 Mach 1 concept and that 70 Mustang Milano concept. I wonder if any of those cars still exist or were more than not just clay models.

1967 marked the first mustang redesign. Ford also gave the 67 a 390 big block option for that year. The most popular 390 option was in a mustang GTA. The "A" in GTA stood for automatic transmission. 67 was the only year for the GTA. They were available in a coupe, fastback, or convertible and with either the 289 or 390 engine.
Some old school mustang guys mark the 67 as the second generation mustang.
This is one of my all time favorite body styles

Shelby added the GT500 package in 67. The 428 motor was Shelbys choice with a HP rating of 355
Only one Shelby Super Snake was made in 1967. It was intended to be the first of 50, but no other Super Snake was built due to the retail price was $7,500 and a 427 Cobra could be bought for roughly the same amount. It was driven by Carroll Shelby at Goodyear's test track in Texas for tire promotion film production.

The reasoning behind the cancellation of the 2002 Cobra.
The 2002 Cobra was in development at this point and was scheduled to come out with a 340hp version of the DOHC 4.6. The story goes that during one of the development test drives Colletti was driving an 02 Cobra mule and was being followed by an SVT Focus in the caravan. Members of the development team say that over the radio they could hear Colletti becoming more and more angry by the fact that he was unable to lose the Focus. They were dreading the next stop because they knew they were going to get an earful.
When the caravan stopped at a shopping center a visibly angry Colletti gets out of the Cobra prototype and said "I hope this grocery store sells Alpo, because this car is a f*&king dog!!!" In looking at the modular DOHC architecture Ford was using it became clear that they were going to be unable to get the power they wanted without using a supercharger. When Colletti brought the idea up to his team of using the Eaton M90 supercharger (same blower that the Thunderbird Super Coupe) the team initially told him it was impossible and could simply not be done. The next day however, not only did the team tell Colletti it was possible, but suggested using the larger Eaton M112 supercharger.

A one owner 49 year old car is really rare. The documented history adds to it's value. Good stuff.

Vince, now that this story is out, I bet they had a lot of offers. I think that hanging on to it and getting a boat load of enjoyment helps that quality of life thing that people are always looking for.
